I need to lose a bit of weight

I'm 6"2 (188cm), athletic build, at least I was and will be, but i've gone a bit rounder than I wanted over the last few years. So it's time to lose some of that chunk around my waiste. Here's my stats and research.

Not Just Weight. It's not just about your weight, apparently your belly circumference to height ratio is more important.

Current stats: weight 98.7kg, height 188cm, belly 106cm, ratio 0.56.

As for the stats, a ration below 0.5 is ideal, 0.5-0.6 is increased risk and 0.6 and above is *high risk. *I'm targetting a ration of 0.45-0.5 which at my height would put my waist at around 90-94cm (12-16cm less!), and my estimated target weight would be 84-88kg (10-14kg loss!), so it's a relatively significant change.

Target stats: weight 85kg, height 188cm, belly 91cm, ratio 0.48.

Strategy

Cut out processed foods entirely, only whole foods, but also keeping carbs down to 20g per day. I'll be eating healthy fats and oils, protein, lots of vegtables, but practically no carbs. I'll do couch to 5k. Running 3 times per week, and weight training, 1-2 times per week. And i'll continue standing at my standing desk for 40-50% of each day.

How i'm intending to keep it off

Once i'm back and done, now the challenge is to keep the fat off. I'm planning to switch to a whole foods only diet, no processed foods, only things as they have grown. I'm aiming to optimise my diet for heart, mind and gut health, striving to maintain a healthly and active microbiome.
